France extends “cash for clunkers” for two additional years The French minister of Economic Affairs has announced that the country’s current cash-for-clunkers scheme will be extended for two additional years. In order to apply for the €1,000 grant from the Government, French car buyers need to replace an old car with one that has CO2 emissions under 160 g/km.
New electric scooter hits the pavement Coming straight from Portland’s green scene, and built on three wheels, the new GoPet (personal electric transportation), is powered by a 48 volt motor that can reach 16 mph and travel up to 25 miles on a single charge, roughly 10 cents worth of electricity.
No Impact Man hits the bookstores! One of my favorite websites, No Impact Man, has released a book – and you should definitely check it out asap.
BMW accepting applications for MINI E leases in UK BMW is now accepting applications for an allotment of 20 MINI E leases. These leases will be offered with a substantial price reduction. Thanks to a £25 million fund from the Technology Strategy Board, BMW will offer the £550 monthly leases for just £330, including VAT (sales tax), insurance and basic maintenance costs.
